Best Husband and Christmas Present Ever

This year Mark gave me the perfect Christmas present...a violin. He spent several weeks making phone calls and shopping around online and he was hoping to surprise me. Mark called a man about lessons, and was waiting for him to call back. The instructor called back and left a detailed message that I listened to first. I was a little disappointed the surprise was spoiled, but I am ecstatic about the gift and so touched by Mark's thoughtfulness.

How sweet. I think it just wouldn't be Christmas if a really thoughtful present wasn't revealed prematurely. We should disconnect our phones during Dec : )

So that is who Mark was talkin to at work setting up those lessons. Too bad they called your home number. O-well, I am sure you were still excited. It is beautiful, I can't wait to hear you play Cassie (after some lessons, hehehe). Awesome idea Mark!!

Hi Cassie.. just wanted to tell you that George bought me my first violin many years ago becuase I wanted to learn to play so bad and that was one of the best gifts he has ever bought me. I have continued to play and now am involved in a string ensemble in our town. You will love it, especially of you already know how to read music. Good luck and may you make beautiful music.

You need to email Eileen and tell her all about it. She started Violin lessons last year sometime, and she LOVES to play. She hasn't played for a while now, so maybe you can motivate her to get back into it! Good for you!

Cassie-
We found out last night that we have friends in common, in Haley and Marcus Crook! Not only are they in our ward, but they live just below us in our apt. complex, and they are way fun (we hung out with them at the church activity last night, and then played games at their apartment afterwards for a while)! When they found out that we were related to you, Haley was like "We love the Blacks! And Megan is so cute!" and Marcus commented how he and Mark worked together a lot in the Young Men's. Cool, huh? --Jenny

I need advice from our resident pharmacist: I'm getting a cold (sore throat, stuffy nose). I'm trying to fight it off, by taking my vitamins, drinking plenty of water, working out, and getting lots of sleep, but it's not going away! Are there any safe meds that I can take to help combat this thing? Please help! --Jenny
