Summer fun

Between soccer practice, movies, playing at the park, trips to Idaho, camping, installing a sprinkler system, and weekly classes for the kids, we have had a busy summer! It seems to have finally slowed down a little bit and we have found ourselves with more time to relax and put our imaginations to work coming up with things to do.
Gavin saw a picture of a firetruck box in a magazine and decided we should make our own.
The circus came to town and it was pretty good for a small town! I guess I am easily entertained, but I was fascinated with the animals, especially the white tiger.

What fun would summer be without a backyard pool? It's nothing big, but my kids LOVE it!

Gavin and Megan play so well together. It was a good opportunity for me to relax, enjoy their giggles, and work on my tan. Speaking of tans, Mark and I are going to Hawaii for a week in October and we are so excited! His parents are on a mission for our church there, so we decided this is a perfect opportunity for a romantic getaway (no we will not be staying with his parents the whole time). If any of you have been to Hawaii and have suggestions of places to stay, visit, eat please let us know.

Who says you have to be wearing a swimming suit to get in the pool?

Hi Cassie..such cute pictures of the kids, love the one on top of your blog now. We are going to Hawaii in August to see Melanie and the girls... which island are you going to? We are going to Maui. It will be very exciting since all 6 kids will be there.

Have you guys always had that swingset in the backyard? I don't remember seeing it before!

I am excited for you guys to get away to Hawaii. How exciting! My sister just got back from there, so I will have to ask where she stayed.

Which Island are you going to?

We are flying into Oahu where we'll spend a few days, then we'll fly to the Big Island where Mark's parents live. If anyone has suggestions of places to stay or things to see and do please let us know!

Hi this is Haley Crook! We went to Oahu when my family went and one of our favorite things was driving from Honolulu up the North Shore to Laie where BYU Hawaii is, the temple, and the Polynesian Cultural Center is. It is a gorgeous drive and only about an hour. The PCC is so fun and also the temple is beautiful! Have fun!
